Parents & Facebook

Both my parents have Facebook accounts. My dad set his account himself, my mother forced me to create one for her.

Now, the question is, how good are they around the internet? Do they google their children's name to keep up with them? (If my parents do, they'll know about this blog. Which is not a good thing.)

Previous post, I talked about how irritating it is to update your blog. I didn't go in dept about privacy.

The point is, I don't think I like the idea of my mom being my blog follower. I don't tell her everything. Just the basic necessities. We are close, but there are still room for secrets. A big one. We, my siblings and I, are not those type of children who share everything with their parents. I'd like to describe our relationship are the perfectly functional and independent dysfunctional relationship. We share when we have to, we asks when we need to. I'm the only one of us four who's friend with one of the parents on Facebook. And you bet I reset my privacy setting especially for that. So basically, she is in my friend list, but she can't go through my profile.

Thankfully, I'm not the overshare type. So, if they do google my name and found this blog, its ok. (Hi Baba! Hi Mama!)
