I Miss My Mom

I realize that statement makes me appear as a momma's girl, especially since I live in the same house with my parents.

But despite living under one roof, we don't really see each other often. She's a busy career woman, I'm a student with hectic class schedule.

Sure, we see each other in the morning before we leave the house for work/class. But that's not exactly quality time, as we'll be rushing out of the house. And no, we're not the type who sits down and have a healthy breakfast meal before we start our day. Both of us appreciate every minute of our sleep time, so we sacrificed breakfast for an extra hour of sleep. And when we return from work/class, we'll be so tired, we'll lock ourselves up in our room and rest.

And I have night classes. I usually be home around 10pm.

So, you see, on weekdays, despite our rooms being next to each other, we don't really see each other. We don't have any meals together, not lunch, not dinner, especially not breakfast.

Thus, we have a Sunday routine. A day for us to spend together. Mother-daughter quality time.

But not this Sunday, my mom forgot to mention to me that she had to go to KL for work. I only found out 5 minutes before she left. I'm left clueless. Not knowing what else to do for my Sunday. Sunday is our time; where we have buffet lunch at Hyatt, go to the saloon, drive around town. And today, not knowing what to do, I just lay in my bed.

Luckily, Viv contacted me, wanting me to accompany her to a collaboration event by Peniaganita and D'Navechee at Promenade Hotel. I was reluctant at first, but Viv mention there'll be food, and I was hungry. But being there just reminds me of my mom. She always drags me to such events. All those bloody seminars and expos. Having her acquaintances there, asking me about her, made me miss her even more.

Urgh.

I want my mama!
